Kids can learn how to play it safe starting August 24 when Kirkwood Safety Town returns to The Magic House. Co-created by The Magic House and the City of Kirkwood, this interactive exhibit is designed to educate the region's youngest residents about safety. Kirkwood Safety Town features a child-sized neighborhood including a fire station, police station, electric company, farmers market, park, house, and even a train station! Safety Town also features a bike helmet-fitting station and scheduled visits from community helpers, including firefighters and police officers.
You and your kids can learn about space, science, the solar system and lots more in a fun, hands-on way during Public Missions at the Challenger Learning Center. Simulated Space missions are geared for families with kids ages 6 and up, and some for families with kids ages 11 and up.
Wagon rides, live entertainment, great festival foods, a petting zoo and much more make this an apple pickin' good time for the whole family. There will be pony rides, a children's carnival, opportunities to feed goats and other farm animals, caramel apples, funnel cakes and more.
Kids can enjoy bubble fun from The Magic House, the St. Louis Police Department Operation Polar Cops ice cream truck, face painting, games, and explore the St. Louis Fire Department fire truck. There will be 300 free lunches provided for children 12 and under.
