Inspired by Dr. Maya Angelou’s powerful poem Life Doesn’t Frighten Me, this 50-minute original play by multidisciplinary hip-hop artist Paige Hernandez brings to life the everyday fears we all face—and the courage within us to rise above them.

¡Feliz cumpleaños! In Carmela Full of Wishes, it’s Carmela’s birthday, and she’s finally old enough to tag along with her big brother while he runs errands. As they journey through their vibrant neighborhood, past familiar sights like the busy bus stop, the local repair shop, and the panadería, Carmela discovers a single dandelion growing in the pavement outside the Laundromat. But before she can blow its delicate seeds into the wind, her brother reminds her of the importance of making a wish. If only she could find the perfect wish…

Baby Rave from Metro Theater Company is the ultimate morning dance party for babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and their grown-ups alike. With the help of fabulous DJs, MTC has the music, snacks and good vibes covered, so you and your little ones can dance the morning away and get all your wiggles out. 

In An Unlikely Hero, Jordan doesn’t fit in at school and spends every free moment immersed in comic books. A sudden invitation to attend Haven High, a school for superheroes, sends Jordan on a journey of self-discovery to find their place in the world. Is Jordan doomed to be a villain or will they prove to be a superhero after all?

Metro Theater Company presents Eddie & Vinnie, a new play by Jenny Millinger best enjoyed by ages 6-12. In Eddie & Vinnie, Eddie is an unstoppable artist with a uniquely beautiful mind, and his best friend is a gecko. Together the pair spends hours making intricate and beautiful puzzles. But he'll be solving worse puzzles in summer school if he can't get his grades up.

Celebrate 50 years of Metro Theater Company at the Fall Family Festival. Enjoy a full weekend of free theater, education and fun for families and young people. All are welcome at the Fall Family Festival, featuring multiple free performances each day of Metro Theater Company productions and a celebration of the creative spirit of the company's two co-founders Zaro Weil and Lynn Rubright. Plus, enjoy a scavenger hunt, arts and crafts, and other hands-on learning activities for young people of all ages. Food trucks will be on-site for al fresco dining, and other arts and education partners from across the region are participating.
