Under the Big Top is an all-new summer exhibit at The Butterfly House where guests will be awed by arthopod acrobats and thrilled by sideshow spectacles! Bring your kids to spy on the fabulous flea circus and marvel at circut-inspired botanicals. Daily show schedules include story time, live animal encounters and butterfly releases.
Fabulous frogs fill the summer nights with song, and The Butterfly House is throwing a festival in their honor. Visitors to the Frog Festival can play games that celebrate the amazing things frogs can do and how we can protect them in our neighborhoods. There will be frog walks, face painting, live animal encounters and "meet & greets" with Finn the Frog. Kids will even get to take home a frog calling kit so they can join the chorus in their own back yards.
At this free art program for ages 3-6 the focus is on the process of making art rather than the finished product. Dress to get messy!

Get ready for tons of free, soapy fun! Come to the library to play with tons of bubbles with the Bubble Bus.
See the Zoo's California sea lions perform acrobatic and athletic feats, including Olympic-style dives on a high-diving platform, flipper walks, frisbee tosses and plenty of surprises. While on stage with the sea lions, the Zoo's trainers explain sea lion behavior and positive-reinforcement training, in addition to the need for conserving the sea lion's ocean habitat.
The Magic House, MADE for Kids will be hosting an exhibit of its own as TapeScape, an innovative playscape made almost entirely out of packing tape, opens for play on June 1 in the makerspace.
