With over a century of experience in early childhood education, The Wilson School team excels at challenging and supporting young learners from age three through grade six. Our classrooms feature two full-time teachers and a 7:1 ratio, ensuring a thoughtful balance between teacher-led, themed activities and child-directed creative play.
Students benefit from visits to specialists in art, French/Latin, physical education, music, and library. These sessions allow them to engage in enjoyable, skill-building activities while also spending time outside the classroom. Additionally, our buddy program pairs early childhood learners with students in fourth through sixth grade, fostering social-emotional skills and nurturing lasting relationships across grade levels. For children in third through sixth grade, dedicated social-emotional programming is designed to enhance social interactions and self-advocacy skills.
In this nurturing environment, Wilson's early childhood students grow into confident learners, ready to advance beyond their grade level. As they transition into the second through sixth grades, students enjoy project-based learning and increased opportunities to use our Innovation Wing for team and individual presentations and exhibits. A Wilson education equips students with the poise, curiosity, creativity, collaboration, open-mindedness, and kindness necessary to thrive in any secondary school, whether large or small.
