Learn about nature with your family and have fun outdoors. Fishing is not normally allowed at Shaw Nature Reserve, but the Missouri Department of Conservation is teaming up with the Reserve to provide a special fishing experience for first-time or young anglers. Equipment, bait, and assistance will be provided. Fishing is for kids only. A parent or guardian must be present.
For families with kids ages 6-12.
At Shaw Nature Reserve, at Highway 100, south of I44 at exit 253 in Gray Summit. Cost is $12 per child for members of the Missouri Botanical Garden and $14 per child for non-members. Admission includes one adult. Registration is required.

Children can help families with food insecurity in our local communities and get into The Magic House or MADE for Kids for free during the Kids Can Help food drive. Children 12 and under who bring in three canned food items each will be admitted to The Magic House for MADE for Kids free of charge on November 2 and 3.
