The Honest to Goodness Truth is a story by award-winning black author and St. Louisan Patricia McKissack. The adaptation is by Gregory Carr, a professor at Harris Stowe. This home-grown tale features a smart, confident young woman named Libby who learns a valuable lesson about telling the truth with compassion.

Celebrate International Polar Bear Day at the Saint Louis Zoo with special activities for all ages. Be sure to visit the Zoo's own Kali, the 6-year-old polar bear and watch as he interacts with interesting enrichment activities.

Families are invited to enjoy the brand new Goldfish Swim School, a learn-to-swim facility offering swim lessons for kids ages 4 months through 12 years old. Show your favorite work of art some love this Valentine's Day weekend at the Saint Louis Art Museum! Visit the Museum from February 14th through the 16th and pick up a free paper heart at one of the Museum Information Centers. Explore the Museum, find an artwork you adore, and leave your paper heart near the artwork. You can even write a short message on the paper heart describing what the artwork means to you.

Join Ready Readers at the 2020 Winter Story Fest, where there will be a winter carnival with hands-on activities for kids and a live performance of The Tortoise and The Hare by Circus Kaput! This festival includes lots of activities celebrating literacy recommended for kids under age 10.
