The Magic House may not looks its age, but it's celebrating 40 years this October! Help them celebrate at 40 Years of Magic: A Birthday Celebration. Visitors can enjoy all the fun of The Magic House, plus face painting, a juggling performance, birthday photo booth and more!

Sounds with Seuss is a playful romp through the wonderful world of sounds based on Dr. Seuss' Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can You? This free workshop is for ages 3-5.

Bring your whole family to this fun festival that includes live music, food trucks, kids crafts, pony rides, local vendors, a dog park and more! Plus, Woofstock benefits the homeless animals at Metro East Humane Society. Friendly dogs are not only welcomed, but encouraged! 

Get into the spirit of the season by decorating, painting and filling pumpkins with yummy Halloween treats for the wolves, foxes and other canids at the Endangered Wolf Center.

Join in on the free family fun at Howl & Prowl, with Halloween activities for all ages including a costume parade and contest.

There will be lots of fun activities for all ages at the annual Safety Day with the Metro West Fire Fighters. Kids will enjoy free pumpkins, balloon artists, a kids' creation station, Jake the Metro West official mascot, K-9 demonstrations and lots more.

Sunday Funday Workshops feature a different unique decorating project each week. There will be a variety of edible art mediums to create a delicious masterpiece. For ages 6 and up.

Halloween parties at the St. Louis Public Library are free! Kids and teens can make their own Frankentoy or craft, watch Halloween movies, and find Halloween candy. Costumes are encouraged!

The Girl Who Swallowed a Cactus is Metro Theater Company's annual fall touring production and is perfect for all ages. In addition to appearing at schools across the St. Louis region and in Nashville, there will be several free public performances that are open to all. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. 

Bring your family to celebrate the Harvest Moon in Hanley Park. Carve your own pumpkin, and enjoy a tree-climbing experience. 

Have fun with your family pet at the St. Louis Canine Games! The Canine Games offers all dogs the opportunity to participate in fun activities, test their aptitude for canine sports and most importantly, spend quality time with their families.

Get up close and personal with more than 40 different breeds of dogs originating from all parts of the world while sampling an international smorgasbord of wines, cheeses, flatbread pizzas and desserts. This is the perfect getaway for your next date night! 

Bring your kids to an old-fashioned street festival for Macklind Days. The festival features a Kids Zone, lots of food vendors, local businesses, live music and more. 

Familes will have a blast at Purina Farms Pet-A-Palooza, a celebration of pets and their families. In addition to being one of the biggest pet adoption days in the area (including dogs, cats, rabbits and more), Pet-A-Palooza will feature grooming areas for pets, a kids area with inflatables and games, a pet photo booth, food, live music and a showcase of some of the latest pet gear and accessories. You'll also enjoy the Incredible Dog Challenge, the Barn and Play Area, and Pro Plan Performance Team Dog Shows, which take place at the Incredible Dog Arena. Admission is free. Parking is $5.

Explore the cosmos with fun activities and experiences at Family Fun Night: Explore Outer Space at the St. Louis County Library. Members of the St. Louis Astronomical Society will join in for some out-of-this-world fun. Free for all ages. 

Enjoy a scenic ride along the Meramec River in the mini train of the Wabash & Frisco Railroad. Trains pulled by historic live steam locomotives and diesels will take you on a 30-minute journey that travels just over two miles through the trees and along the bluffs of the Meramec River Valley.
