
Don't miss your chance to "meet the puppets" from the amazing production of "Romeo & Zooliet" currently performing at the Saint Louis Zoo. Visit the St. Louis County Library Clark Family Branch to see these dazzling puppets up close and join St. Louis Shakespeare Festival Artistic Producer Tom Ridgely and playwright Jennifer Joan Thompson for a fun reading from Ian Lendler’s children’s book“The Stratford Zoo Midnight Revue Presents Romeo and Juliet,” the basis for the family-friendly stage adaptation produced exclusively for the Saint Louis Zoo.
The event will include a library parade of the show’s dazzling puppets by world-renowned Michael Curry Design, known for its work on Broadway’s “The Lion King” and “Frozen.”
Have you ever wondered what happens when the Zoo closes and the zookeepers go home for the night? What if the animals put on their own Shakespearean performance? "Romeo & Zooliet" is happening at the Saint Louis Zoo Tuesdays through Sundays through August 17. It's presented in partnership with the St. Louis Shakespeare Festival.
