Share Your Heart with Shelter Pets Baking Class | February 7 

Kids can warm the hearts (and bellies) of shelter dogs for Valentine's Day at this Share the Love Baking Class. Join the chefs from Treats Unleashed to mix, roll, and make delicious cookies for the special canine guests at the Humane Society. Cost is $15 per child. This baking class is designed for ages 6-10. Proceeds benefit the educational programs offered at the Humane Society. Saturday, February 7, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Humane Society of Missouri.

St. Louis Birthday Bash at the Missouri History Museum | February 14-15

Did you know that February 14th is St. Louis’s birthday? The Missouri History Museum has created a new festival to celebrate, featuring activities, food, music, and fun. Families will want to attend on Saturday when the Red and Black Brass Band kicks off the festivities at 10 a.m. Then head to the History Clubhouse for storytelling at 10:30 a.m. This program is trilingual so everyone can participate—offered in English, Spanish, and American Sign Language.

All-day activities include playing classic backyard games like washers and cornhole, exploring the sensory table to touch artifacts that represent St. Louis and its symbols, and crafts like making birthday hats and custom flags for your neighborhood. Don’t miss the special pop-up food vendors for lunch, and browse the wares of local makers for gifts and souvenirs of the day. Explore the World’s Fair and Collected exhibits, including a new gallery that showcases things “Made in St. Louis.” The St. Louis Birthday Bash is happening February 14 and 15 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Missouri History Museum. Admission and all activities are free.

Pint Size Party: Be My Valentine | February 10

Let's party! The Pint Size Party: Be My Valentine is just for little ones ages 18 months to 5 years. Kids will take part in themed arts & crafts, games and free play. Pre-registration and parent involvement are required. Cost is $6 for residents of Crestwood and $8 for non-residents.  Tuesday, February 10, at 10 a.m. at the Crestwood Community Center.

Valentine's Day Workshops at Yucandu Art Studio | February 7

Valentine's Day workshops at Yucandu Art Studio allow kids to express their creativity and bring home amazing Valentine's Day projects! Workshops are for kids in kindergarten through grade 5. The Valentine's Mosaics Workshop will be held on February 7 from 1-3 p.m. Kids will make a heart-shaped plaque using a sweet selection of tiles. Cost is $45 per child. The Valentine's Gift-Making Workshop will be held on February 7 from 9:30 a.m. to noon. The cost is $55 per child.

Preschoolers (ages 2-6) can put on their Valentine's Day best for dancing, fun Valentine's Day-themed activities and photo opportunities at this Preschool Valentine's Dance at the St. Louis County Library Grant's View Branch. February 12 at 2 p.m.

Talon-Tine Day at the Edwardsville Children's Museum | February 14

Visit with a live bald eagle at this Valentine's Day event at the Edwardsville Children's Museum. The first 150 children will receive a stuffed eagle keychain. Talon-Tine Day is free with paid admission. Saturday, February 14, from 10 a.m. to noon.

Puppy Love: Dog Adoption at City Museum | February 15

Love is in the air at City Museum! Meet your family's new best friend at the Puppy Love Dog Adoption event at City Museum. Whether you're looking to add a furry friend to your family or make a difference, this is a perfect opportunity to find a loving puppy a forever home. You'll meet adorable pups that may steal your heart. Guests can meet and play with the animals, and any adoptions will be completed with Stray Rescue of St. Louis. Valentine's Day Cookie Decorating at The Heights  | February 12

Kids ages 5 and up can participate in a beginner-friendly cookie decorating workshop with Busy B Bakery. They'll decorate festive Valentine's Day sugar cookies with royal icing - no baking, color mixing or complicated techniques required. All cookies, icing, and tools will be supplied. February 12 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at The Heights. Cost is $40 for residents of Richmond Heights and $46 for non-residents. For ages 5 and up.

Be Our Valentine: An Enchanted Storybook Breakfast at Brookdale Farms | February 7-8

Experience a fairytale-inspired, family-style storybook breakfast at Silo Point at Brookdale Farms. It's a whimsical Valentine-themed morning made for littles and their grownups who love a little magic with brunch. The Enchanted Storybook Breakfast includes all of your breakfast favorites and your favorite storybook characters for storytime-style magic throughout the morning. There will be plenty of photo opportunities as well as raffle prizes and Valentine-themed activities for kids. Cost is $15 for ages 13 and up, and $20 for kids ages 3-12. Kids 2 and under are free. Crafty Valentines at the St. Louis County Library | February 9

Kids can make Valentine's Day cards with an assortment of craft supplies that are provided. Free. 10 a.m. at the Clark Family Branch of the St. Louis County Library. For ages 2-5.
