Justin Roberts may not be a household name to adults, but for kids who have seen him on Nick Jr., his high-energy pop sound gets them on their feet every time.
Downtown music venue Off Broadway hosts Roberts this Saturday with his band the Not Ready for Naptime Players. It's one in a series of special performances by childrens' artists the Off Broadway hosts monthly.
Roberts and his band will perform favorites from his last recording, Pop Fly, as well as from his soon-to-be-released CD Jungle Gym. Pop Fly was named one of the 10 Best Children's CDs of 2008 by NPR, USA Today and Amazon.com.
