Backyard Winter Wonderland Camp from the Saint Louis Zoo
Join the St. Louis Zoo for its winter break camp: Backyard Winter Wonderland. Through this virtual camp, which will engage your child with a mix of hands-on activities and live video interactions, participants will discover how animals survive and thrive in the wintertime. Children will enjoy virtually meeting and interacting with other campers and engaging camp counselors, fun, live video visits from popular animal habitats at the Zoo, including the Bird House, Big Cat Country, Penguin & Puffin Coast and the Charles H. Hoessle Herpetarium. Campers will also discover how different animals survive the seasons through migration, hibernation and remarkable adaptations, do make-at-home crafts and activities, including building a hibernation den, designing a winter animal and more.

And don't worry about supplies — they'll be sent directly to your home! After-camp activities include outdoor explorations in your own backyard or local park. Backyard Winter Wonderland Camp at the Saint Louis Zoo will be held Monday, December 28 through Thursday, December 31, 2020, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and is for children in first through fifth grades. Winter Camp Extravaganza at Miss Kelly's Gym
Miss Kelly's Gym offers non-competitive, theme-based Winter Break camps that provide children an opportunity for fitness, fun and total development – not to mention a fantastic way to beat the chilly weather! All camps are gymnastics-based and feature a new, exciting theme each day! Themes include Winter Wonderland, Holiday Goofy Games, Pajama Jam, Winter Camping, Dinosaur Ice Age, New Year's Beach Bash, and Pirate & Mermaid Adventure. Theme related activities include games, obstacle courses, arts & crafts, and lots of imagination! We offer flexible scheduling: You pick which camp days/times will work for your schedule. You can do as little as one day or as many as everyday.

Camps will be held Monday, Dec. 21, 2020 through Friday, January 3, 2020. Camps will be held twice a day, mornings from 9 a.m. to noon and in the afternoon from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Miss Kelly's also offers a full-day option from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (just bring a sack lunch). Spend winter break at the J! Children participate in a variety of activities that keep campers active and busy having fun throughout the day, including sports, arts & crafts, science, cooking, swimming and more. Grab a spot for Weekend Play Time by Reservation at Play Street Museum in St. Charles. Kids and families can explore the museum during these special weekend hours. Playtime will be by reservation only to limit the number of occupants in the building at one time. Play is offered in 90 minute sessions and occupancy will be limited during each session.
The Magic House is offering the opportunity to enjoy private playtime in a special exhibit area of The Magic House or MADE for Kids before opening to the public! You choose the location and up to 10 family members or friends to enjoy your private morning. Stay and play after in the rest of the museum. Reservations must be made in advance.
