Elementary Age

At this Youth Activism Workshop, sponsored by the Missouri Historical Society's African American History Initiative, kids will explore the broader context of the Civil Rights movement through a variety of primary sources and evaluate how activists communicate their messages through images and words. Then they will identify and explain issues they care about by creating a poster that advocates for their views.

Bring your family to Oak Tree Park in Brentwood for an afternoon filled with water games and activities. There will be a frozen tee shirt contest for the first 10 people who register, water balloon throwing contest, crazy water games and many other fun activities for all ages.

Participate in a live reading of animal stories with educators from the Saint Louis Zoo. At this Zoom presentation, kids will also get to meet the live animals featured in the stories!
