Digging for Dinosaurs

Kids can learn all about their favorite prehistoric creatures at Digging for Dinosaurs, a free workshop for preschoolers age 3-5.

Presented by Mad Science of St. Louis, in this workshop, get an up-close look at a dinosaur tooth and participate in a mini dinosaur dig. Registration is required.

Digging for Dinosaurs will be held:

Sept. 6 at 10 a.m. at the St. Louis County Library, Grand Glaize Branch.

Back to School and Community Empowerment Festival

St. Louis Public School and the Urban League of Metro St. Louis present the annual Back to School and Community Enpowerment Festival, free for all city residents. 

This year's festival features a main stage on the arena floor where student performances and academic showcases will take place. Free school supplies will be given away while supplies last and a free lunch will also be served.

The 5th annual Comics Central is an all-ages event that features game demos, a Comic Craft Corner from Star Clipper, vendors selling comics, artwork, a cosplay contest, mobile video gaming, virtual reality demos, food trucks and a DJ.

Happy Birthday Daniel Boone

Celebrate the 50th Birthday of the Daniel Boone library with a special story time and live music from the 1920s.

At 10 a.m., kids ages 2 - 6 can enjoy stories, songs and rhymes to wish the library a happy 50th birthday during a special early literacy story time. 

At 2 p.m., enjoy live music from the 1920s performed by the duo Harmony. For all ages.

Both event are free. At the Daniel Boone Branch of the St. Louis County Library.

Beauty Bash

Enjoy a day of pampering and makeovers and bonding time with your daughter at this spa-day event that benefits people who are living with cancer. There will also be fun activities for kids.

The 4th annual Beauty Bash, held at the Saint Louis Galleria, includes fun spa-day activities such as makeovers, manicures, massages and hair styles for guests of all ages, plus activities for kids, like a balloon artist, clown and face painter. There will also be a photo booth featuring Disney princesses!
