There are few things little ones love more than getting creative and messy! At this free painting workshop, kids can take part in an entertaining and messy painting session.

Part of the StArt@Your Library series at the St. Louis County Library. For ages 3-6.

Messy Painting will be held:

June 17 at 10 a.m. at the Jamestown Bluffs Branch

June 20 at 10 a.m. at the Eureka Hills Branch

June 20 at 10 a.m. at the Lewis & Clark Branch

Kids will be introduced to basic hip-hop dance styles while listening to their favorite Kidz Bop artists at this free workshop.

Kids will use their hands and brain to engineer their very own arch made out of everyday materials at this free workshop.

Kids will replicate a famous study using live cockroaches and play dough at this free workshop presented by The Butterfly House.

Kids ages 7-12 will replicate a famous study by zoologist Charles Henry Turner. Working in teams, kids will build a maze out of play dough and run live cockroaches through it.

A-MAZE-ing Cockroaches will be held June 28 at 10 a.m. at the Daniel Boone Branch.

Kids can race a balloon rocket and design their own car engine as they learn about space travel.

They'll see the principle of propulsion at work in a real rocket launch, and build their very own Shuttle Copter to fly to the skies!

June 9 at 6:30 p.m. at the Jamestown Bluffs Branch

June 21 at 3 p.m. at the Grand Glaize Branch

Preschoolers (ages 3-5) can experiment with floating, sinking, absorption and lots more in this free workshop that's all about water.

Water Works will be held on June 22 at 2:30 p.m. at the Rock Road Branch

Kids can get behind the wheel as ceramicists from Krueger Pottery demonstrate the art of working with clay. Kids will coil, pinch and throw their own earthenware creations. Part of the Visiting Artist Series.

Saturday, May 14 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, May 15 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
