The Chess Club and Scholastic Center of St. Louis is offering free group chess instruction to kids and teens at the St. Louis County Library. Lessons are free and are for ages 5 to 18.
Free chess lessons will take place on Mondays from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Jamestown Bluffs and Prairie Commons Branches (except Labor Day), Tuesdays from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Lewis & Clark and Weber Road Branches, and Thursdays from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Natural Bridge and Rock Road Branches.
Classes will also be held on Saturdays at 10 a.m. at the Indian Trails Branch, and some Monday evenings at 7 p.m. at the Daniel Boone Branch. Registration is needed for the Daniel Boone Branch classes only.
