Gardenland Express Programs for Early Childhood
Early childhood teachers are invited to bring their students to the Missouri Botanical Garden
for an unforgettable visit to the Gardenland Express. This year the annual holiday train show celebrates conifers of the world.
Children will enjoy the train show, complete a craft and learn how conifers help animals survive the winter. All classes receive a take-home Winter Kit to use in their classroom and schoolyard.
Mission: Mars Opens
Explore Mars in two very different but amazingly real ways at the Saint Louis Science Center. Mission: Mars exhibits, opening today, will span across Interstate 64/40 from the main Science Center building to the James S. McDonnel Planetarium in Forest Park.

For one day only, Journey to the Top tram rides at the Gateway Arch will be sold at their original price of $1. Visitors to the top will receive a 'Top of the Arch' lapel button modeled after one that was originally distributed when the trams opened in 1967.
Kings, Queens & Castles Opens at the World Chess Hall of Fame
Bring your family to the new Kings, Queens & Castles exhibition at the World Chess Hall of Fame. Created in collaboration with The Magic House, this innovative, interactive family exhibit brings the game of chess to life and provides an engaging introduction to individual chess pieces and game strategy. The exhibit features an array of hands-on elements. A drawbridge leading to a castle greets guests, a dress-up station transforms children into royalty, and life-sized chess pieces with cutouts for faces make for great photos!
